DIY Rag Bunting
I have often admired rag bunting but had never made one until now.
For William’s Army Party I thought rag bunting was perfect as it has an ‘unfinished’ look that suited the decor. It was easy to match camo colours too. This rag bunting is made with 80cm strips of fabric to form 40cm length ‘rags.’ The video tutorial below demonstrates how to loop the strips of fabric onto string. It is basically a matter of cutting lots of strips of fabric in the colours you wish to use and tieing them on in a repeating pattern.
For Rosa’s Bath Bomb Party I wanted to create a white backdrop for her beautiful peacock chair. I used lots of different textured white fabric, including some tulle. It is hard to see in the photo. This bunting is 2 metres long so quiet a work of art! The finishing touch was some strings of pom pom that I purchased from Spotlight. So excited to find this product and it really made the backdrop extra gorgeous.
A great video tutorial for Rag Bunting:
