This fun Spideman party was for one lucky Christchurch boy to celebrate his 2nd birthday party. Ponies, bouncy castle, a clown, awesome balloons, cake pops and pizza.
What more would party children want?
Spiderman was the hero of this party! The Spiderman colours of red and blue are awesome throughout the party decor. Birthday boy Taiaroa was keen on a bouncy castle for his party. When mum Liana found this great one from Happy Hire she knew her party theme was set!
Taiaroa’s mum was extra amazing and made her own balloon arch! Liana said, “I really like the look of the balloon arches. I made this one using regular sized balloons, blowing them up to the desired size that I wanted and attaching them together using some ribbon. I also used a balloon full of sand as a weight to keep the balloons in place and stable.”
I love how Liana has used toys to add some fun decor to the party. I also think it’s great that she has sourced party supplies from lots of different places. “For the cupcake toppers, table centrepiece and cupcake tower I used some party printables I found on the internet. Just cut them out and stick them together with a bit of glue and place them onto toothpicks.”
I love Liana’s idea for saving on using helium. She hung her balloons from the roof with tape which gives the impression of helium filled balloon. Genius! Liana said,”The decorations inside the house were just black and red streamers and blue and red balloons. We hung the balloons up by using a little bit of tape to get the look of them being filled with helium.”
Liana put on a wonderful spread of food. They had a BBQ with salads which is always a great way to feed a crowd. She said, “We also had mini savouries for the kids and little mini pizzas, club sandwiches and little cups for the popcorn. A few bowls of chips and dip and a cheese platter with crackers and pretzels.”
“For the dessert I made a carrot cake with cream cheese icing, vanilla cupcakes for the kids with blue and red icing, vanilla cake pops and we had chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate centres.” “We also had a big bowl of trifle and a caramel slice chocolate, coconut brownies and little white and blue coconut roughs.”
Liana found this awesome Spiderman bouncy castle from Happy Hire. It was the ‘centre stage’ for the party. “For the entertainment we had the lovely ladies at Pony Parties come with the farmyard animals. This was really great for the kids. We also had Carrot the Clown come. He was amazing and his show was just as funny for the adults as it was for the children. I would definitely consider hiring him again.” Liana also had a bubble machine.
The cake was chocolate cake with fondant icing. I love the city scenes around the cake.
Liana made party favors from little glass milk bottles. She popped blue and red crepe paper at the bottom then filled them with lollies and wrapped them in cellophane bags. She finished them off with a little ribbon on top.
