Bunny Shortbread

I always like to make a themed biscuit for my kid’s parties. I’ve struggled to find the perfect recipe until I started using my Aunty Lynne’s Shortbread recipe. It is easy to roll and cut plain shaped biscuits from but you can also use it with a cookie cutter. These bunnies looked so adorable. The tiny touch of icing for a tail is simple but gorgeous. I made the eyes using this method.

This is Aunty Lynne’s Recipe:

8oz butter  (225g)
12oz flour   (3 cups)
4oz castor sugar  (just over 1/2 cup)
1/4 tsp salt
Combine and knead.
Shape into a log and then cut your biscuits.
Pop on a baking paper lined tray.
Bake 150 degrees for 15 mins.
